Even though we rolled in about 3 hours later than planned, Rachel was so welcoming and concerned about our well-being! This was just what we needed after a tough ride that day. Folks like Rachel and her girls are what make the Katy Trail so great.

Seeing Cobra Kai Chris' entry reminded me that I forgot to thank Rachel for our lunchboxes. I rode the KT last Sept and her meal hit the spot. We had sandwiches, veggies, fruit, a cookie (I think) and honey mustard pretzels. It was a huge meal and I shared a few items with other riders at the trailhead. But I hoarded all the honey mustard pretzels. Only after one pretzel did I realize how much I needed the sodium. It was generous bag of pretzels, too, which I could have shared. But, nope, I kept it all for me. :) Rachel, thank you for providing a satisfying, delicious meal. It was well balanced, much needed and greatly appreciated. And thank you to your daughters, too.
