I'm putting together a plan for 4 to 6 senior cyclists on hybrids, and would like to know how the weather/conditions will be between mid April to early June? We will not be camping, using B & B's or motels. Thanks.

They can vary depending on the rain fall. But it is beautiful year around! Come see us in Hartsburg! Eber Haus can sleep 8 ...warm, dry, comfortable, and good food! Good luck with your planning!

The trail dies out quickly after a shower, but it is also prone to flooding in the Spring. That's kind of one Spring extreme to the other. It is a great time to ride though with spring flowers and cool temps.

I would shoot for late May/early June. Better chance for warm and dry weather.

I did it the 1st week of May this year: Had to deal with some pretty big Spring rains, soft trail in a few places, and cold mornings. I also got to see tons of wildflowers, lots of fresh green, no bugs, and some great riding. Katy is always great if you go with the right attitude.
