This restaurant is now under new management, and the food was amazing and the service was great!

Glad to hear that. We stopped there in the Fall of '14 and everything we ordered...it was like it was the first time they ever made it. Very good, but, wow, slow. We didn't mind as we were in the AC and it was very hot/humid outside, but if they'd gotten busy, they would've been hurting.

Totally agree with op. Ate their last Tuesday after two days in the rain. Food (and hot coffee) was very good. Service even better!

Cafe didn't open until almost noon. BIKE RENTAL IS CLOSED.

Was counting on a cold drink yesterday, Tuesday. Checked the website which said they were open till 6pm. Arrived at 5:30 to find them closed and the town infested with mosquitoes. What a bummer. Since we ride the Katy often I knew about the possibility of businesses being closed but I still found it very disappointing.

I have been by Trailside cafe 5 times since June 1, 4 times was during there posted business hours latest was on Sunday July 10 just after noon, they have never been open any of those times. I wonder if they are still in operation?

This is the latest contact info we have for Bike Rental: Dakota is managing the bike rental since owner is very ill. Call Dakota at (660)537-9805 to check hours of operation and/or make bike rental arrangements.

As of July 25, 2016, due to owner's health issues, the Trailside Cafe & Bike Shop is currently closed until further notice. If you are staying overnight in Rocheport, please check with your B&B for possible bike rental options.
