We r planning to ride from tebbetts to Augusta June 25-26 staying the night in
Hermann. Is there a lot of open trail and is much of it close to the river as to be

There is a mixture of tree covered and open areas in that section. IF flooding continues next week, the area around Portland may flood and some areas where creeks feed into the Missouri. It is too early to tell at this point, just keep monitoring the DNR web site for trail conditions. On the 25th, the DNR Katy ride will be going from Mokane to Marthasville (about 350 riders).
