We are planning a return trip to the KATY in late September or early October--dates are flexible. We've got 2 riders, 2 bikes, and pannier set-ups and want to ride St. Charles to Clinton. Anyone looking to share costs of shuttle? Thanks!

Colorado, you may try the "Share a Shuttle" link on the Katy Trail Home page on this site. I would post a link but I know it would be deleted.

Thinking about riding the Katy trail from St. Charles to Clinton this summer with my two teenage sons. We loved the trail from DC to Pittsburgh. Did you do this ride last Fall and how did you like it.

We've had the pleasure of riding the KATY a number of times during summer months--sometimes very humid and hot, but always fun! This last fall's ride was spectacular; the colors, good people and a a trail that can't be beat! We've camped, panniered, and credit card camped on various trips and each has been wonderful. If you enjoyed the GAP and C&O trails, then you will enjoy the KATY as well!

You will need to click on "Trip Planner" above to get a list of shuttle services and call a few in the area of the trail you plan to ride. They basically charge by the mile.

I think your best bet would be to contact Katy Bike Rental. They seem to have several shuttles that are not full that you can share.

We are planning a trip Sep. 21st - Sep 27th. We had planned to go West to East along Katy's Trail. We have 2 riders, 2 bikes, and a Pick-up towing a pop-up camper. We would love to share driving/shuttle, except one of us would have to reverse our trip. Your thoughts?
