I am heading down the trail over the week of the July 4th- I've been monitoring the weather but it is a little vague. Also- everyone keeps asking me if the flooding has affected the area, can anyone give me a quick rundown of the actual current weather conditions and maybe what I can expect. Thanks.

Use this site to monitor the flood conditions. http://mostateparks.com/page/58843/potential-flood-locations

Ride on.

Weather as of now is forecast for upper 80's/low 90's. Can almost always count on hot humid weather around the fourth. Be sure you are carrying plenty water - can be a ways between water especially east of Jeff City.

As of today the trail is closed for a couple miles west of Rocheport. YOu can detour around it my going on Hwy 40. DNR generally does a good job of posting conditions and detours and each trailhead if there are problems.
