June 22, 2010- On our way to Hartsburg from Rhineland, we stopped in at Tebbetts Turner Katy Trail Shelter Hostel for a rest. We found they had water and a freezer with ice to fill your water bottles. That was a welcome surprise as the heat of the day pretty well melted all of our frozen water bottles. We had a nice chat with a gentleman who was part of the Katy Trail 10th annual organized ride. He needed a break from the heat and elected to stay in a Hotel in Jefferson City instead of camping with the group at MoKane. He was quite interesting to talk to as he told us of all his overseas bicycling adventures.
