My wife and I planned an anniversary getaway for two nights. Lindenhof was recommended by friends and did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The star of the show is the owner Kathy. A true servant. She is on top of everything and went way beyond expectations for us. While there i was not feeling well. Nothing to with Lindenhof. Kathy cooked two special meals which were excellent. It was a true get away for us together and from our daily routine. Beautiful area. Lots to do as the weather warms up. Words like peaceful and restful describe Lindenhof. Great base for restaurant and winery tours. Jack Kennedy

We stayed at the Lindenhof while bikepacking a section of the Katy and it was far better than we imagined. There is nothing we could suggest to improve our stay. Kathy is wonderful. She thought of everything, including flip flops and robes for the hot tub. And, the breakfast she provided was top notch. We look forward to returning!

I had a wonderful stay at the Lindenhof B&B. Kathy was a great host and the accommodations were terrific. Secure bike storage, hot tub, relaxing indoor and outdoor seating areas, snacks, cold drinks in the refrigerator, and a great breakfast to kick off my last day on the trail. I plan on staying here again and recommend.

the Lindenhoff is a great stay and a wonderful B&B. Kathy welcomed us with a smile and an offer to use the hose to clean our bikes (dusty and dirty from the days trail dust and rain). She took time to show us items about the room and the B&B, including a wonderful hot tub--which we really enjoyed. The "extras" like patio eating/visiting area, shed for bike safe-keeping, mints in the room, robes for lounging, and wonderful breakfast, etc. made this B&B a great place to re-charge after riding on the trail. I highly recommend this B&B.--Doug

We stayed at Lindenhof for the first time late last fall and didn't consider staying anyplace else for our getaway to Augusta this month. Kathy leaves no stone unturned, is flexible, helpful and accommodating. We ended up arriving earlier than planned and when I called her, she immediately left the park where she was walking her dog to come greet us. We were competing in a race in Augusta our 1st morning and she made breakfast just for the 2 of us late in the morning after we returned. I forgot safety pins for our racer numbers and she produced a handful for us to use super early in the morning. Back to breakfast - the food is amazing! Fresh, healthy, tasty and plenty of it! This is not continental breakfast type food - it is gourmet. And she leaves snacks out and soft drinks if you need a little something during the day. The B&B is immaculate. I'm super picky about a clean place and the bedroom and bathroom are spotless. The sheets including the pillowcases were clean and fresh but also newer so they didn't have that worn out feeling that can be a turnoff for me. The Lindenhof location is outstanding - within walking distance of at least 2 wineries if you're into that and a microbrewery and some restaurants. And of course, the Katy Trail is right down the hill.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast! Accomodations are top notch, outdoor backl yard area was perfect for our "happy hour time" as well as later in the evening for fireplace / hot tub time. You leave here feeling as if you are saying farewell to a new friend versus just a B&B hostess. Breakfast is fantastic and the welcoming cookies were devoured. Will return, if even just doing a xcountry car trip.

Lindenhof is a great place for an overnight (or longer) stay while biking the Katy Trail. Kathy is a great host catering to bikers providing secure bike storage with cozy and comfy accommodations. Fresh baked goodies awaited our arrival followed up with an awesome breakfast the next morning catering to our vegetarian needs. Close to wineries and emporium across the street for after hours goodies, especially early in the week as restaurants shutdown or don't even open. This will be a regular stop for future biking adventures.

If you're riding the Katy and needing a place to stay in Augusta, I highly recommend the Lindenhof Bed and Breakfast, which is just a couple blocks off the trail. Our group of six stayed there two nights last week, and the accommodations were absolutely perfect. Kathy was a gracious and informative host, and our rooms were spacious, clean, comfy, and charming. We shared the common area with two other guests, and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax. Our breakfast both days was delicious, with more than enough carbs and protein to fuel our morning rides. We also loved the outdoor space--lovely greenery everywhere, a shed to park our bikes, plenty of seating around the water feature and the fireplace (which we used both nights), and even a hot tub (which we didn't use but could have). We've stayed in a lot of places over the years while riding the Katy, but the Lindenhof B&B is now one of our favorites that I'm sure we'll return to in the future.

As others have commented, this is a great B & B & Kathy is a gracious host.
On a Wed night no restaurants open in Augusta. But right across the street is the Emporium....sandwiches, snacks, beer and more.
We bought fixings & had a picnic in the yard at the Lindenhof.

Kathy serves a yummy breakfast!

We just had the best stay at Lindenhof B&B. Everything was absolutely perfect! We stayed in the Harmonie room and it was so comfy and cozy, and we LOVED the big jetted tub and the heated tiles were such a luxury. Already trying to convince my husband we need both at home ?? We even got a chance to sit in the outdoor hot tub which was wonderful and relaxing on a chilly, snowy night. The breakfast the next morning was so so so delicious and amazing! And last but not least, Kathy was such an outstanding host. She went above and beyond, was so very nice and personable. And when we experienced some car problems the next morning she was so kind to try and reach out to her local friends to see if anyone can help us out, and even offered to follow us back into town to make sure we made it ok. Thank you so much for the lovely stay Kathy, we will definitely be back!

I can recommend this place and the owner without any reservations whatsoever. You'll love it.

We spent the last night of our Columbia to Augusta trek at the Lindenhof. It was delightful. Very well designed for cozy comfort. Kathy was a superb hostess. Unfortunately, we forgot our bathing suits for the hottub, but it looked inviting. The outside area is charming. All was very secure. The food was excellent from the nibbles she provided to bountiful breakfast. We really enjoyed the themed roomes. Highly recommend staying here.

This is one of the finest B&Bs we’ve ever stayed at; the owners commitment to serving her guests is absolutely amazing and top botch; the breakfast meals provided were some of the best and healthiest food we’ve ever experienced at a B&B; Linderhof is a must-stay if you’re in the area and especially if you’re a cyclist.

This is a must-stay B&B. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was AMAZING...the best breakfast ever. I may always remember and crave the hostess, Kathy's breakfast creations. We stayed there two nights--going and coming.

Maybe the only thing better than the best breakfast ever was the Hostess--Kathy. She is not only an amazing cook, but as a fellow cyclist, she went out of her way to make our stay was the best. She has a shed to lock up your bikes in, volunteered to wash our stinky biking clothes, and in the morning had our bikes ready to jump on. She is so fun to talk with and is the perfect hostess.

As an experienced traveler, I am not sure you can find a better B&B--at least not a better hostess. Would absolutely recommend the Linderhof.

We spent the night of April 16, 2019 at the Lindenhof B&B with another couple in the midst of a two day ride on the Katy Trail.
Our host, Kathy, has done a wonderful job of repainting and redecorating the B&B since she bought it last September. Beds are great, rooms spacious but cozy. The covered hot tub in the backyard was a gift after many miles on the bikes. Kathy made a fabulous breakfast designed to provide energy for a day of riding. It was creative, delicious, nutritious, and beautifully presented. Kathy was the personification of great hospitality. We plan to go back again.

Loved the home and patio area. Beautiful home and rooms. Luv the antiques and decor touches. Kathy was very welcoming and accommodating. We highly recommend this B&B and will definitely return. Saturday was a perfect day, so we rode the Katy trail, hit the Defiance Winery and then drove to Augusta to the B&B. Rain was predicted for Sunday, but was light and blessed us with a double rainbow. It was a wonderful weekend. Do stay at the Lindenhof.

A delightful experience was our conclusion to what could have been simply, a "Good Bike Ride Spoiled" by pouring rain. We stayed at the Lindenhof with its quiet, spacious rooms, fluffy luxuriant towels, comfortable bedding, crackling fire, homemade bread, sumptuous generous breakfast and warm and welcoming proprietors. It was inspiring to hear one of the owners describe the foray into becoming a painter, and the process of learning from visiting artists who frequent the environs for the yearly plein air festival. The Lindenhof is a great place to relax after riding the Katy Trail, with great access to area wineries.

Four of us stayed in two rooms at Lindenhoff in March and had an AMAZING time. The pictures on their site really don't even do the place justice. It was paradise. And within walking distance from Mt. Pleasant and Augusta wineries. There was a huge (like 8 person) covered hot tub outside, a great backyard area with a table, chairs and firepit (that was filled with wood and paper and ready to be lit). Inside there was a great living room area with tall ceilings and another fireplace. They also had all kinds of games and books. The rooms were beautiful and had huge jacuzzi tubs. The couple who hosted us were lovely and welcomed us with fresh bread, cookies and drinks. Breakfast was to die for. Best B & B experience I've ever had.

We stayed here on a Wednesday night a few weeks ago and had a great time. The owners really just let you relax and weren't around except at check in and when she made breakfast. I know if we needed anything though they were just in the other part of the house. Breakfast was awesome, stuffed french toast with white chocolate, strawberries, and blueberries. She also made some type of egg creation with cream that I can't remember what it was called but very good. The setting is very quiet and relaxing and not too far off the trail. Would recommend if you are looking for a great B&B

THis place is fantastic! The owners are very nice and helpful. We felt like we were visiting family! The home is comfortable and not too fussy. The hot tub was comfortable (it was actually cool on a 102 degree day!) The food is amazing. Highly recommended! This was the nicest place we stayed on the trail. It was also the most expensive, but a great place to spend our last night on the trail.

Larry Erickson from Seattle, WA on 10/26/2007 01:52 PM:
My wife and I stayed here one night in mid-October. It was the last in a series of stops in Rocheport, Jefferson City, McKittrick, and Augusta. As a "living" space, it was the best. A really inviting interior. We asked hostess, Debbie, about the building, and it was amazing how they had the foresight to see the potential growth from what started out as a rather small, simple building to what is now very attractive, useful, and spacious. The outside work only serves to compliment what has been done inside. Plus, the dining area, seems to make Debbie's wonderful breakfasts that much more delicious. True, it was easily the priciest lodging of the trip, but we credit that to Augusta being a prime getaway location for St. Louis, driving up the price for all lodging in town. Too bad Augusta doesn't have more to offer in evening dining spots of equal quality.

Our children had given us an overnight at the Swan Haven Inn. We had to reschedule multiple times and Jacqui and Gene were VERY kind about it. The Inn is historic, charming, clean and comfortable. The wine and cheese was delicious and the breakfast was complete with fruit, fritata and scones. The hospitality was outstanding. Take a soak in the footed bathtub after the trail! What a reward!!!

This cozy cottage built for two was just what the doctor ordered. My husband and I are both

athletic and rather competitive, so it was a delight to be able to come back to the privacy of

the cottage after a day on the trail. We relaxed, shared a little wine and spoke for hours on

the large covered porch. The cottage was just perfect in a storybook kind of way; the fun

didn’t end once we left the trail.
