June 26, 2010 – We made it to Clinton-the end of the line on our journey to ride the entire Katy Trail from St. Charles to Clinton! We joined the 10th anniversary Katy Trail ride, but weren’t part of the actual organized ride. Desty at the Clinton Parks and Recreation center was so kind to let us take showers and rest inside while we waited for our ride back home. We really appreciated your hospitality Desty!

A gem on the downtown Clinton Square. It is beautifully decorated with antiques in the original Ben Franklin Five and Dime building.
The food was delicious and the service excellent.

I am flying into KC soon, sending my bike to Clinton via FedEx to ride the Trail. How can I get from KC to Clinton? I'm having trouble interpreting the bus schedules on line.

Subject: Clinton - Camping Question

Besides the Lester Foster's Music Park, which only allows camping during music festivals, are there really no other campsites near this trailhead?
I'm taking the train from STL to Sedalia, and then riding to Clinton that afternoon before "starting" the trail heading back the next morning. I'm planning on camping as much as possible, but can not find anything in Clinton....
