As of 5/7/11 the access trail/path to Blumenhof from the Katy is in poor condition. I just thought I'd pass this info along in case anyone was planning a visit here from the Katy.

Highly recommended. We hit this first thing in the morning before starting off our trek in Dutzow. Good wine, great atmosphere, excellent staff. Part of our party stayed after we left and said it got very busy close to noon.

We were the first customers of the season today! Grill is open from approximately 12-6 on
the weekends. We had brats and german potatoes out on the patio--think they also had
ribs and something else. Highly recommend it!

The wines at Blumenhof are some of the best we have had in all of Missouri! There are two options to get there, 1) bike on the main road through town - no shoulder, or 2) take the little gravel side-trail off of the Katy Trail. You will need to walk ...

Right on the trail. Bright, clean, friendly. We sat on porch: wicker & flowers. Have lunch & interesting german beers - yum! The bathroom, which can be used only if you patronize (understandably), is nice & clean.
