 Directions: The hotel is actually located on 106 S. Baird. To get to the KT from the hotel you travel towards town on Franklin, turn right at Eighth Street. Turn right at stop sign onto N. Price. Follow Price for about 0.5 miles until you each the KT trailhead on your left in a park.

The manager of the Colonial Hotel was extremely gracious and we enjoyed our large, clean, and well appointed room. It is an easy drive down Franklin Street to get to the remarkable town square, and it is just a bit further to reach the KATY trailhead...

This is a very clean motel and is only 1.5 miles from the trail head, although you do have to ride along the busy highway to get there.
