I am researching places to stay for an upcoming Katy Trail adventure and learned that this option no longer exists. I had a FB Messenger exchange with the owner and she noted she sold the Boonville location about a year ago and now operates in Sedalia.
I thought this would be helpful.

Yep Gman, you will still see steady posts here through the winter, but spread out a lot more.
Then things will really pick up in Feb-March, when there aren't yet a lot of people riding the trail, but a lot are planning their spring and summer adventures.
Camping in Pilot Grove City Park

Just wondering if anyone has info on camping in City Park in Pilot Grove. Who do you notify and is it okay to just set up a tent. Thanks

The park is on the south side of town, not far from Casey's. While you can see it from the trail, you have to know where to look. There is a large grassy area, covered pavilions (with electricity), water, and a bathroom. They like to know you are there, so call the local police dept and let them know you are staying. (660) 834-4300 --I think they post that number on a board somewhere (I got it off another post on this website). Good place to camp.

It was much better than we expected - a whole floor just for us, including fully equipped kitchen with a plate of cookies!
Breakfast is delicious and Linda is a wonderful host.

We had a great stay at "A Touch of Claas Salon, Spa, and B&B." Linda was a wonderful host. The breakfast was wonderful and the back four-seasons room was a perfect setting.

I had a wonderful time at the Touch of Claas. It was perhaps a half mile from the trail and conveniently located on main street and walking distance for dinner and trail resupply items. I was also able to store my bike in the garage. The Touch of Claas bed and breakfast was very relaxing and both inside and out. I enjoyed my time relaxing on the front swing and then in the shade in the back yard following my ride from Sedalia to Boonville. The suite that I stayed in had a private kitchen, sitting room, full bathroom with tub and laundry. I found the bed very comfortable. The atmosphere was very relaxing and I enjoyed the company. I would highly recommend the Touch of Claas.

The Touch of Claas is an extremely nice B&B stay with a kitchen, living room, and bathroom for guests that really made the stay very private and relaxing. We had a king-size bed that was very comfortable. Everything in the house is tastefully done, very clean, and the owner even provided bottled water, fresh fruit, and other homemade treats for the stay. The breakfast in the morning was great too and we ate on the screened in patio. This is a very nice B&B and well worth the money. The owner is a wonderful person and runs her place very professionally.
