Five of us retired guys are planning to bike and sightsee the Katy mid-May. My question is about shuttles. Some of us don't mind riding in the rain while others don't like it, and that latter number goes up the colder it gets. Also, some of us might wake up one morning and just not want to ride that day and need a break but would still need get to the next stop on our schedule. So how readily available are shuttle services along the trail in general? Is there sometimes too much demand on rainy days to handle all the traffic? Do you have to make reservations? We are also thinking of renting a sag vehicle for the entire trail which would be expensive, but convenient. (Visiting Fulton one day and getting to the required wineries, breweries, and other sites off the trail not easily accessible by bike.) Driving duties would be shared. Comments?

Your idea of renting a sag wagon and sharing driving duties might be the best option.

I agree with Jerry. It offers you a lot of options, and would allow you to see things that will interest you that are not close to the Katy Trail. Plus if some of your party don't want to bike one day it allows for that. Enjoy!
