Is there any wildlife that can possibly eat me?? LOL!

I plan on doing the whole trail from East to West, and then hauling ass (biking, of course) to Omaha, NE to stay in a hotel for a couple of days, then renting a car to drive to Onawa, IA for RAGBRAI!

Anyone doing RAGBRAI this year??!

Vultures if you lay on the trail for a few days. I met a cow on the trail once.

Mosquitoes a drop of blood at a time. Usually not a problem if you are moving; however, if you have to stop to fix a flat or something, then you can get swarmed. I carry a small bottle of insect repellent with me. Ticks can be an issue also.

There have been a few mountain lions spotted in Missouri but I don't worry about them as they are very, very few and far between.

There are venomous snakes around the Katy Trail. I saw a copperhead last year and there are reports of timber rattlers. You have to go out of your way to have issues with snakes.

My biggest worries are the mosquitoes and ticks.

I do need to do RAGBRAI again. I did it twice in the 1990s with Team Aim High Air Force.
