Passed a gathering of about twenty kids (10years old) dressed in a military uniform on side of trail in Bluffton area. They were being instructed by a guy also in a military uniform that had black robes on. Anybody have any ideals? This was 10/4/17.

Maybe it is the forces of the "deep state' or the UN army that is about to take over our country. Could be extraterrestrials too. Look for more about this on Infowars and breitbart.

One or 2 years ago I encountered a large number of people in that same area, participating in a pilgrimage. I think they were Catholic. I'm not sure where they started, but I passed them around Marthasville where I think they took a road to somewhere else, perhaps a church or a campsite. There were people of every age, babies, toddlers, middle school and high school kids, mothers, fathers, middle age, elderly (barely able to walk). There were priests leading sub-groups and teenage boys on bikes at the end of sub-groups, sort of acting like a guide at the end of an organized bike tour, making sure that everyone was ok, and if someone was having trouble keeping up they had walkie-talkies that they used to contact someone who came with a four-wheeler to pick up the walker and take them to camp. The teenage boys wore white shirts, black pants and maybe a beret. I suspect what you saw Andy had something to do with this pilgrimage. I was raised Catholic (no longer practice the faith) so it really fascinated me when I saw this, it was like I had gone back in time 50 years.
