Every year my brother and I ride the Katy and plan a night's stay at Cooper's Landing. The Thai food and ambiance can't be beat. But this year we had a horrible stay. When the concert last Friday ended at 10pm the party then moved to the tent next to our two tents and lasted all night long. So much for the "quiet time" after 10 pm. At midnight my brother asked them to quiet down to no avail and then at 1am I yelled at them to put a lid on it. Ten minutes later they were back at it. We were hoping a thunderstorm and rain would wash out the party, but no such luck - every drunk at the place must have found their tent. We could here them over the thunder...
When the partiers finally broke up about 4am the husband then began verbally abusing his wife - every other word was F this or MF that. What a class act they were. She then asked him to go out to the car and get her bag of medication and he replied - "95,000 medications, drugs for Bi-Polar, drugs for depression, drugs for your cycle, drugs for your STD". Her response was "well your the one that gave me the STD".
I guess you had to be there. I had to laugh at that line.
To add insult to injury when the A.. finally passed out he snored louder than a freight train.
Morale of this story is camp at the west end of the campground and make sure you know who's RV door to knock on should you need the night person to kick someone out. Also if someone puts up a tent as big as a small house for two people next to yours - RUN.
