Kudos to the Missouri State Parks Trail Team this spring and early summer. We have experienced many floods that has resulted in many washouts along drives intersecting with the trail as well as extended periods of time with water standing on the trail. Combine that with local vehicle traffic in flooded areas and what a mess!

I have reported numerous situations from trees down crossing the trail to standing water, to wash outs and have always been met with a Thank you for reporting from MSP staff. But, it didn't end there, they were quick to action and I am very happy to report that it is smooth sailing from Hartsburg to Bluffton at this time.

The area between Hartsburg and Claysville that was under water they have done extensive work adding a new culvert, cleared out a ditch, and have hauled in numerous loads of crushed rock, then they even packed it with a steam roller! This is a top notch fix. I was prepared for a detour, but ended up up-shifting and flew right thorough the area.

Tree trimmers are out and doing a great job preparing for the annual KTRide2017. For those who are not in the immediate area, MSP is doing a stellar job at preparing the trail for you this year! It is shaping up to yet another great adventure!

Enjoy the Central MO region of the Katy Trail!!

Hold on which ever park services person did the grating of the trail from Saint Charles to past the Boone Bridge, did it with ATV's in mind, not walkers, runners, or cyclist. The Trail is a hazard and nearly unusable. Terrible attempt at fixing something that was not broke.

Thanks Eric. Good to hear and am sure MSP appreciates the positive feedback.
