Does anyone know how to reach Parson's house B & B in Defiance? I have tried calling both numbers on their website and also emailing for about a week now and can get a hold of NO ONE! I keep getting the dreaded mailelr-daemon) I am desperately trying to reach them as they are pretty much the only acceptable option for a stay in Defiance. The Inn at Defiance requires 2 night stays on Friday and we can't stay on Saturday night. The other Inn doesn't have very good reviews. We're riding the complete trail towards St. Charles.

Hopefully no response is seasonal, I personally can recommend the Inn in Defiance : http://www.thedefianceinn.com

If carrying food or no restaurants is ok , Klondike park on the trail between Augusta and Defiance has great small cabins.

I have had a great stay at Lindenhof in Augusta as well. Although save your energy, it's a steep hill :)

Thanks so much for your comments. I need to book something so I think we need to change our itinerary and stay in Augusta. Lots more to choose from. But thank you all for your quick response. Planning an end to end ride gets trickier the closer you get to St. Louis because of the many weekend 2 night stay requirements. I found a one nighter in Augusta that seems very nice; the Red Brick Inn. Has anyone had any experience with staying there? Thanks again.

there are a couple of recent comments on the inn's page on this site. Click on Augusta in the map above, then click on the Red Brick Inn link.

We spent a wonderful night at the lovely Conservatory B & B in Augusta-- beautiful accommodations and grounds. Friends stayed at the Red Brick Inn which is essentially across the street They enjoyed their stay there.

The Red Brick Inn is a great choice. I also recommend a splurge at the goose, awesome restaurant. Carry a bottle or two of wine to soak with in the hot tub and your gaurenteed a much better night of sleep than in Defiance. Defiance is nice, but the night life does go until close on a Fri/Sat night in season. Augusta does have good night life but there are not as many night owls, the brewery may get a little loud close to the inn but I have never heard it as late as in Defiance.
