Is there a train or maybe bus that would shuttle a rider back to the starting end of the trail on a thru ride? We jumped on Amtrak in DC to return to Pgh after riding the trail here

The Pittsburgh - DC connection is amazing. Nothing that simple on the KATY.

There are shuttle services and Amtrak. Use the Trip Planner above to search the shuttle services available. The Amtrak runs between Sedalia and Washington. Washington is just off the trail and can be shuttled to. The Amtrak can also be ridden to the Kirkwood station a bit farther into the city (St. Louis). There are options. They just may require a bit of planning on your part if you choose to ride the train as it does not have stations at the trail end points.

Amtrak from Pitt to StL then Sedalia, grab bikes an gear ride to west terminus, Clinton, turn around an ride to St. Charles, ride to StL Jump on an back to Pitt. A little detail but Amtrak has that detail. What dates, I can get beer an pizza an deliver it?
