Is it possible to park at Clifton City trail head for a couple of hours? I want to ride Clifton City to Sedalia and back. I could park at Sedalia, but I'd rather not have the long climb on the return.

Yes but unless you are very fast, it's going to be more than a couple of hours. I did it one way today and took me about 3 hours.
