Can anyone tell me if the extension to Kansas City is open yet or does the trail still start in Clinton. We want to ride West to East starting May 20th.

I think there's little trails in between that are finish, but not connected to each other or with Caty Trail yet.

Trail still starts (ends?) in Clinton. There is an outside chance that in 2 years from today, a functional, complete trail will exist from Windsor to KC. But like Miguel says, you can only experience part of it right now.

I think the western terminus of the Katy Trail in MO will always be Clinton. There will be a spur that goes from close to Windsor into KC but I don't think that affects the Katy.

I think so too Jim. The Rock Island Trail State Park will be between Windsor and Pleasant Hill.
