This year I am training for a century + on Katy Trail early fall. If I want to park at one place and ride out is there a shuttle service that will pick up and return you to your car no matter where you choose to park or is there only designated towns where you can do this?
I am looking forward to experiencing the trial.

Have you considered doing a 50-mile out and back? That would simplify the logistics.

The Trip Planner above can help you find shuttle services that you can work the details out with. An out and back allows you the freedom of being at your car when the ride is over. After 100+ I didn't want to be waiting on someone else for a ride or to be wondering if they were going to show. It's nice to load up and go instead of knowing if they don't show, you've got another 100 miles to ride.

If you don't mind using Amtrak you could start in Sedalia and then either catch the return train at Hermann (around 135 miles or so) or ride to Wainright and then backtrack 7 or so miles to Jefferson City and catch the return train there.

I rode from Sedalia to Washington and caught the Amtrak back - it was perfect.
