Hello folks! My wife and I are going to be riding the trail in May. We bought reservations to see the Clydesdale farm in Booneville. How far from the trail is the farm? We are very excited about the ride!

I just googled Clydesdale Farm, Boonville and Warm Springs Ranch popped up. If that is where you are going, it is 28 miles from the Katy Trail Trailhead in Boonville. You might check with the place where you will be staying in Boonville to see if they can give you some ideas about how to get there. Per google maps it is about a 2 1/2 hour bike ride. Or the farm may offer a bus or something form Boonville. I've heard good things about the farm, so I am sure you will enjoy it. And the Katy Trail is one of the best trails in the country.

The trail is great. The farm is great. They are not close together. If I remember correctly, the road to the farm is not one I would enjoy riding because of narrowness and traffic. Hopefully, someone with better local knowledge will chime in.

As noted - both are fantastic...the farm's just not convenient for cycling as I recall.

Best wishes.

Hi, I'm a local of Columbia and frequent Boonville and Rocheport and I just past by the ranch yesterday. From the Katy Trail head (Boonville)or about the 192 mile marker to Warm Springs Ranch is 10 miles. Not a good bike road. From Rocheport, the 178 mile marker, it's 7 miles, again not a bike route to the farm. But the closest point you can get on the Katy Trail to the farm is at the 175 mile marker, which is right at I-70 at Rocheport and at that point you're just 3 miles away, but only route is the interstate. From Columbia to the farm is just 15 miles. So, you could get a shuttle or taxi from any of these local cities.
Hopes this helps? Enjoy your ride on the trail and tour of the farm.

I agree with the assessment of the road -- I would not ride it. Also, please be aware that (unless something has changed) you can't just show up at Warm Springs. You need to make reservations and they cater mostly to groups. And it's popularity means you may not get to visit when your ride is planned.

Thanks for the valuable info. we have already purchased our tickets. we will probably shuttle our vehicle along as we want to do the trail both directions.
