We are planning on biking the katy trail this winter and were planning on staying here our 2nd night. Does anyone know if there is heat in the Hostel or do we need to bring winter style sleeping bags?

What dates are you looking at? There is no central heating but there are usually a couple of small space heaters laying around. The water in the shelter is turned off somewhere around the first weekend in November.

I just returned from the trail and this place is wonderful.
Yes there is heat, air conditioner. Refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, lots of extras! Just be sure to bring food because there is NOTHING for sale in this town

Again....there is NO central heat in the shelter and the water will be off after November 1st.

I was wrong on the date that the water will be turned off at the shelter. The date is December 1 not November 1.
