Any suggestions on where a safe place to park the car overnight in Jeff City is? I've been there lots of times, but never tried to leave a car. Thanks.

Not at the trailhead would be my advice. Are you staying at a hotel in Jeff City before or after you ride? If you asked, I think most hotels/motels would let you leave your car in their parking lot.

Just got back from overnight trip in Katy. I parked in the parking lot of the Cycle Depot on Main Street in Jefferson City. Parking lot is well lit, the store owner is way coool and a great store too. The shop is a couple block away from the state capitol building. So I imagine security in the area was very good. We called the bike shop to get info on where to park and they offered their parking lot to us to park in before we even asked

Another option would be the state parking lot across the street from Red Wheel Bike Shop which is the shop I think Mike is referring to. The Hartsburg Cycle Depot is a couple of miles west on Main Street.
