My husband and I want to ride the Katy Trail coming from Kansas City what would you suggest for a great weekend trip?

I would drive to Rocheport and depending, on how many miles you want to ride, either plan to overnight in Rocheport and do an out and back east as far as you're comfortable from the trailhead or ride to Hartsburg (about 25 miles), spend the night and ride back to Rocheport the next day.

I agree. Rocheport is a great place for a weekend trip!

If I had to pick 25 miles on the Katy, it would probably be the 25 from Rocheport to Hartsburg as well...
