The Globe has new owners, Mark and Leah. The building was originally built as a hotel in 1893 and was later converted to a B & B. I understand the previous innkeeper had cats - these are no longer there. We loved our stay at the Globe. Cozy and comfortable room, lovely front porch with rocking chairs, excellent breakfast (Mark makes a very tasty omelet). Friendly hospitality.

Mark and Leaia at the Globe are just wonderful. It's worth a trip to the Katy Trail just to enjoy their hospitality. They recently purchased the Globe and are adding their own personal style. Our stay there was one of our favorite B&B experiences.

The previous owner was a wonderful lady and I stayed there are more than one occasion...but quit going there after a few visits because I just don't care for cats. I am pleased to know that the Globe will remain a resource on the KATY - it's a wonderful place - and I am thrilled the new owners don't have cats!! I hope that the previous owner is doing well...you simply couldn't ask for a more lovely person.

The man who takes care of the hostel in Tebbetts is full of information about people on the Katy. He said that the former owner had happily retired, with her cats.
