I rode the trail Saturday April 18th from Dutzow to McKittrick. The trail from Marthasville to Berheimer is pretty bad. It’s really bad from Treloar to where the trail crosses over 94 just east of Bernhiemer. The park service has done a pretty good job of marking the rutted areas but pay special attention at the Treloar trail head, the trail is almost washed away there. About a mile west of Treloar there is a 15~20 foot section of the trail that is missing, there was only large rocks and loose gravel. (I got off and walked through this section). There is a section near the 94 cross over east of Berheimer where the wash outs are wide enough that my entire wheel was down in the rut. (Mountain bike handling skills came in handy there). There were also areas where nearly half the trail was gone. One of the biggest problems I had was rough areas under a tree canopy, because it was kind of dark under there, I couldn’t really see how bad the ruts were until I was already in the middle of them. I was very glad I decided to ride my mountain bike and not my hybrid that day. The other parts of the trail I rode that day were great. Hopefully, once it quits raining, the park service can get these areas repaired. Until then, be careful.

Now you've got me rethinking the narrower tires I put on my MTB.

If that is a section that parallels RT 94 you can ride the highway around the washed out spots. If not you ride or walk or carry your bike. That's the fun about cycling. Forgot my patch kit/air and had to walk my bike 7 miles one time on the KT.
