Wondering about trail conditions. Want to ride today and it's a choice between Katy or some hard surface trails. Any input appreciated.

Will answer my own question: Rode the Columbia MKT to the Katy to the Big Oak tree and back. The MKT was very wet and muddy, not good. The Katy for the small stretch we were on was better but not great. Would've been better off on paved trails today.

We're in the rain-freeze-thaw cycle that seems to hold a tremendous amount of moisture in the upper inches of soil. It has not rained in over a week, but today I have puddles in my backyard and it is 52 degrees. All the limestone trails are like wet cement!
