Though not listed on this site under lodging for Washington, we recently stayed at the Best Western Plus on East 5th Street. This was a very nice hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to store our bikes safely in their laundry room.
I had alternate transportation over that dangerous bridge in Washington, once they get the new bridge built I plan to stay at this hotel when passing through.

Looks like MODOT says fall 2016 to start the replacement of the 1936 Washington Bridge. I may change from Hermann to the Best Western for stopovers then.
