I'm sure there will be a lot of traffic on the trail this weekend. If anyone is up for a long ride, I'm riding the MKT from Columbia to the Katy. Then heading east to finish in St. Charles. Hope to leave Saturday morning around 6:30-7 and finish around 4-5 pm. Just doing a little recon of the trail as two friends and I will be riding from Clinton to Machens on June 26th. Dustin, are you the crew who will do the Katy in a single day on the 26th?
What is the record 14 hrs and change? Possibly?

I am part of that team. I think the record is just under 14 hours. We aren't going for the record, just completing the 237 from Clinton to Machens in less than 24 hours.

Dustin, you will be ahead of most of the Pedaler's Jamboree riders but there is usually a marathon or half marathon on the MKT on Saturday morning early so you will have to work your way through all the runners.

Give us a treat and upload it to YouTube when you finish the 24 hr leman. Thanks. Good luck.

I'll see about getting it on YouTube. It'll definitely be on my Strava and Garmin Connect! It will be on the news stations in Southeast MO as well. They do a piece on the prep for our ride every month or 2 either in the paper or TV news.
