We are going to rent a bike at Katy Bike in defiance and hope to bike to Agusta and back, but my husband had a knee replaced 9 months ago and we were wondering how hillie that route was?

Gary from Near Tebbetts on 10/9/2013 7:27:43 PM:
There are no hills on that section. You just need to be careful to not fall over and bang up that new knee.

The trail is very flat and the bike shop is right on the trail. However, the businesses in Augusta are all uphill from the trail.

Did the Defiance to Augusta route today after renting a Fuji from Katy Bike, which by the way was a great place to rent from, great friendly people, explained lots about the bike and child's cart and loads of info about getting a bike when we returned. Very easy riding, ate at Augusta Brewing Co, good food, bought a raffle ticket for a charity there that Katy bike donated, just like the one that we rented, didn't win =( had good music, and a nice dry white wine, bathroom was clean, good seating a tables to eat at. Will do this trip again!
