Having difficulty with getting a place to stay at Rocheport on Oct 1. Most places are full or have 2 night requirements. We thought of camping. Any suggestions?

You may want to click on the map at the top of the page. New Franklin is 10 miles west of Rocheport, or Huntsdale, 6.6 miles to the east.

The Frederick Inn in Boonville is a good overnights stay that is only 10 to 13 miles from Rocheport. We've stayed there many times when we were riding out of Rocheport. October usually requires planning in advance.

We were going to stay in Rocheporte but didn't want to pay $145 per night so I just reserved a room in Booneville using travelocity and it was $28 for Saturday night (Oct. 1). Turned out to be a Days Inn. (With tax, $32)

Unless it was a really bad Day's Inn, $32 with the tax was a great buy. Well done.
