Can anyone tell me if there is a path, trail, road, or any kind of access from hwy 40/61, at the Boone bridge (Missouri river), down to the Katy trail.

Just west of the bridge is the Mo Research Park exit (both directions). Follow south and turn left, then another quick left (180) down the hill to the trail head.

Weldon Springs is another 3 miles down from this trailhead.

Some fishermen pull of the highway and park, but I've seen Highway Patrol giving tickets (headquarters right down the road).
