I saw where Perche Creek messed up McBaine - anyone know the condition of the MKT Trail into Columbia?

I rode the MKT today, leaving from Columbia. The portion of the trail maintained by the city of Columbia is in good shape. Just past the point where maintenance switches from city to county govt the trail is closed. This is at about the 5 mile marker, and the closure is at the first bridge west of the Scott Blvd trailhead. I don't know about the rest of the trail from there to the Katy Trail.

Update to my previous note: I just received an email from another local rider explaining what's going on with the bridges on the MKT between Scott Blvd and the junction with the Katy Trail.
Here is what she had to say: "I called around today and found out that the MKT and the KATY are both ridable. The Boone County Public Works Department has the bridges closed right now as they put that sealant stuff on them today, but they said the bridges would be open on Friday. It sounds like a LOT of money has been spent on the trails this year with all of the washouts, but all parts of the MKT have been rebuilt. However, the new material may be a little soft still since it hasn’t rained to help it settle."

Thanks for the info. I finally found the person to call with Boone County and got similar info.
