I am planning to ride the entire trail from Clinton to St Charles but am having difficulty getting information on how to get from St Charles to the Amtrak. Any information would be appreciated. Reply here or send to cricket1215@hotmail.com Thanks

You will have to get to downtown STL or Kirkwood. Each has a train station. If you could get a ride to Lambert airport, you could take MetroLink downtown to the Amtrak station.

Show Me MO Tours offers shuttle service from St. Charles to the Kirkwood train station and/or the train station in downtown St. Louis. (314) 781-0015.

We stayed at the Lacoco House, and they offered inexpensive shuttle service. I can't say enough about how good these people were to stay with. Their shuttle was about half the price offered by another service, which made staying there an even better bargain.

I would consider riding back up the trail to Washington and getting on the trail there. No big town hassles with a bike.
