In addition to this trailhead, there is also unofficial parking on gravel areas at the intersection of Jungs Station and Greens Bottom, and the intersection of Pittman Hill and Greens Bottom. Each of these is very small - 3 to 4 cars each - and tend to be filled. The trailhead can accommodate 30 cars or so.

In the St Charles area, you'll also find trailheads at downtown St Charles, and the Page Ave/364 Bridge

Directions:  By car, from St. Louis:

Central / Northern Approach: Take I-270 to the Page Ave / 364 exit. Go west on 364, across the Missouri River. After 10.5 miles, take exit 12, Jungs Station Road. This puts you on an outer road, parallel with highway 94. Stay on the outer road for just under a mile until you reach the actual Jungs Station intersection, where you will turn left onto Jungs Station. Follow Jungs Station for 2.2 miles until it ends with a right turn onto Greens Bottom Road. Follow Greens Bottom 1.3 miles to the trailhead, which is on the left. Distance from 270/Page to trailhead: 11.8 miles

Southern approach: Take highway 40 (I-64) west toward St Charles. Take the first exit after the Missouri River, highway 94. Go north on highway 94 for 3.8 miles, to the Pittman Hill / Mid Rivers Mall Drive intersection. Go right (east) on Pittman Hill for 2.8 miles, until it ends with a left curve onto Greens Bottom. Follow Greens Bottom 2.4 miles to the trailhead, which is on the right. Distance from Chesterfield Mall to Greens Bottom Trailhead: 18.4 miles

Subject:  Parking along Greens Bottom Road

I usually ride out from St. Charles and I have noticed a lot of people parking along the trail on Greens Bottom Road. Why don't peole use the parking area at Greens Bottom Trail Head? It seems that the continuos parking along the trail is causing some erosion problems that are dangerous and are probably a headache for the maintenance staff to keep up with. It's also dangerous when people park cars so that the bumbers are sticking out into the trail. I was passing a group of riders in that section and a car bumber almost caused a huge wreck. Is it even legal to park there? It seems as if they are probably driving in an unauthorized area.
