We were riding on the Katy trail to Hartsburg from Jefferson City on Mother's Day with our 2 children. This was their first time ever on the trail. To our surprise my bike tire went flat near Claysville, we stopped there to wait for a friend that we had called and the owner of the store asked if he could help us. I was in dismay that he just let me take his bike!! Now that's a great PERSON!!! I couldn't believe it because he didn't know us from Adam and it was a very nice bike. Needless to say we will be back to try out his food. Thanks

The best food in Boone County. The owners are so gracious and hospitable. Every time we have company in from out of town we take them there and they absolutely love it.
Be sure and save room for desert, the pies and cheesecake are to die for.

Hi--we live in Jeff City and enjoy the dinners at Claysville. I wrote a little love letter/review about them on my blog--with pictures. If you're thinking about stopping at Claysville for supper, I encourage you to do so--before they close for the winter! If you're not sure they're open, be sure to call ahead.

My husband and I had quite possibly the best fried chicken I have ever eaten, besides my mom's of course. The people were wonderful as was the food. I will spread the word far and near about your great food and atmosphere. Thanks for being in Claysville!!!

For our group of eighteen, the Claysville Store family was a tremendously good slice of graciousness. We were able to camp on their grounds and even were treated to a fabulous meal.
