Does anyone know if the Applegate Inn is still open? My emails are rejected and their voice mailbox is full.

Doesn't sound like someone I'd want to do business with even if they are open. Know what I mean?

After being caught in a rain storm, Lynn was waiting for us with towels ready to welcome us. The room and service was fabulous. Great cooking also. You can't go wrong staying here, we had been riding the trail for 3 days ande were ready for some pampering.

This B & B has it all! Great hospitality and food. The best stop for weary bike riders and golfers. We even had an evening of sitting by the fire, thanks to Lynn's ability to read our minds.

WOW!!! After 4 days on the trail and three nights camping the Apple Gate Inn was perfect - although it would have been perfect under any circumstances!!! Lynn is the absolute perfect hostess, the facilities are great - especially the Jacuzzi suite, breakfast was excellent. We will go back!!

My stay here was one of the highlights of my Katy trip! Lynn's passion for running the perfect B&B was obvious in everything! What she has done to this B&B is incredible (rehab, decoration, comfort, and amenities). She packed me a nice lunch for the no-service Weldon Springs area the next day too. Five stars!

OMG what a wonderful B&B. My wife and I spent the weekend there for out 19th anniversary. The breakfast was the best that I have had in a very long time. Super clean, super nice hostess, one block from the trail, brewery, and wineries. The owners went out of her way to make this a very special trip for me and my wife. Although, we live a few miles away, we felt like were on a peaceful, secluded retreat.

I haven't tried this trail before. What would you say the difficulty level is?

My husband & I spent two nights at The Apple Gate Inn in August and are still raving about it! We rode 100 miles on the Katy Trail over two sweltering 100 degree days. The Apple Gate Inn was the perfect retreat - and only one block from the trail! The Inn has been beautifully restored and tastefully decorated. Our suite was perfect - comfortable, spacious, and private. Lynn prepared two fabulous breakfast feasts for us. She is a great hostess & we hope to go back soon!

Apple Gate Inn is definitely open for business!

My son and I rode the entire 225-mile trail, and spent a final, wonderful night on June 15, 2007 at the fully renovated, vintage stone and wooden beam-built Inn, hosted by Lynn and Bob.

We took a spacious, upstairs suite with a downy soft bed for me and quite comfortable air mattress for my teenage son.

We highly recommend Augusta Brewing Company for dinner just down the road, and then a short walk up another hill. Have a few too many of their cool brews - hey, you're walking home to the Inn!

The next morning, Lynn served an incredible multi-course breakfast, with the mixed fruit and country-cookin'-style sausage and eggs skittle dish rustled up especially for the guests that day.

Wine or bicycling enthusiasts will enjoy Apple Gate Inn equally.
